Zealousness: A Lesson from a Safari Adventure
Dear friends, today I want to share a story with you. A story that taught me a valuable lesson about zealousness. It’s a tale from my younger days, when I embarked on a thrilling safari adventure.
The Adventure Begins
Many moons ago, I found myself in the heart of Africa, surrounded by the wild beauty of the Serengeti. The vast savannah, the roar of lions, the trumpeting of elephants, it was a symphony of life unlike any other.
The Encounter
One day, our guide pointed out a young gazelle, separated from its herd. It was frantically running around, its zealousness evident in its every move. It was trying to find its way back, but in its fervor, it was only straying further away.
The Lesson
Watching the gazelle, I realized something. Zealousness, while admirable, can sometimes lead us astray. In our eagerness to achieve our goals, we may lose sight of the path. We may end up running in circles, just like the young gazelle.
But remember, my friends, it’s not about suppressing your zeal. It’s about channeling it in the right direction. It’s about taking a moment to pause, to look around, to understand where you are and where you need to go.
Applying the Lesson
So, the next time you find yourself consumed by your zeal, remember the young gazelle. Pause. Breathe. Look around. Understand your surroundings. And then, channel your zealousness towards your goal.
And remember, it’s okay to ask for help. Just like the young gazelle, who eventually found its way back to the herd with the help of our guide.
So, be zealous, but be wise. Channel your energy in the right direction. And never be afraid to ask for help.
Until next time, remember to live with passion, but also with wisdom.
Yours,
Kev
