Devotion: A Tale Weaved Around the Roots of a Tree
In life, there are few virtues more valuable than devotion. As we turn the pages of my life’s book today, I’d like to share an inspiring story that taught me this evergreen lesson.
The Seed Takes Root
Many years ago, as a spry and enterprising young lad, I had taken it upon myself to plant a tree in our backyard. It wasn’t just another task but rather a commitment, emboldening the value of devotion in its entirety within me.
The arduous journey begins…
I took care in choosing a sapling from our local nursery. It was then baptized into earth with gentle hands. In due course of time though, circumstances would test my resolve even further.
A Brush With Harsh Realities
The initial days were replete with difficulties – predacious pests and harsh weather threatened my little sapling’s existence on numerous occasions. However, fortified by unwavering fidelity for ‘nurturing’, I remained unyielding against adversity—equipped not just with pesticide or water hose but indomitable spirit above all else!
A metamorphic period awaits…
Sipping on perseverance through sweltering summers and brutal winters saw my child bloom as much internally as externally. The character development that we both underwent laid bare before us – frozen memories amidst fallen leaves returned each spring anew!
