Patience: The Most Delectable Ingredient
Hello dear readers,
I’d like to share a story that holds a special place in my heart – it is about patience, accompanied by a time-honored tradition, an infamous food fight. But before you get your tins of beans ready for launching, realize that this is not really about the act of flinging food but rather about the skill required to navigate high-pressure situations with grace.
The Food Fight Fiasco
Eons ago, when I was still sporting jet-black hair and hadn’t yet learnt the worth of patience, my group of friends decided to orchestrate what we thought would be ‘the biggest food fight’ our college had ever seen. Equipped with leftover spaghetti and cold mashed potatoes from the cafeteria (no better use than as artillery), we readied ourselves for battle.
A Lesson Well-Learnt
However, amidst all this chaotic delight was Benny –– conservative friend who practiced stoicism religiously. Instead of taking part in our messy spectacle, he chose one dish – lasagna – and began eating quietly while chaos unfolded around him!
Improving upon previous years’ experiences made me question if griping onto anger and retaliating instantaneously were truly beneficial? And witnessing Benny’s composed demeanor answered my doubts.
After battling each other ardently until exhaustion set in; there sat Benny unperturbed by his surroundings having finished his delicious meal. It dawned on us how much mirth Benny took out from simply being patient enough to enjoy something far more lasting- pleasure over personal satisfaction.
The cost behind impetuous actions became clearer until finally becoming vivid- patience trumps momentary adrenaline every single day!”
It’s been decades since then yet whenever chaos unfurls within sight instead fundamental lessons regarding life return their cloudy reflections back unto comprehension reminding humanity integral trait making society thrive…Patience.
I hope taken little joy retention gained (and amusement…at least) through words today promise keep bringing nuggets wisdom sharpen gradually piece seasoned knowledge month comes end let’s hold essence teaching year – unwavering Patience.
Stay blessed valued reader wishing blessed holiday season prosper upcoming New Year!
